Poorboy Jan 21, 2012 04:10 PM

Hello there, I am looking for an authentic German restaurant in the GTA. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Brandt Meats lunch counter is only open Wed-Sat but isn't half bad.

My favourite is the Old Country Inn in Unionville.
      More Viennese than German though....
Great schnitzel, goulasch schweinebraten, knoedel, wurst usw.

The Hausplatte on page 3 of the dinner menu looks amazing. http://www.oldcountryinn.ca/menu/dinner3.html

Happy to see they serve Sauerbraten. Haven't noticed that dish on other German menus in the GTA. http://www.oldcountryinn.ca/menu/dinn...

The Musket in Etobicoke - http://www.musketrestaurant.com/index...
Kind of in an industrial area, but excellent food and service
