Biloxi for the first time

Hubby & I at Beau Rivage first time, 2 nights early May. We like good food, music, etc. but prefer smaller, more casual meals (I do not mean buffets) than I expect at the hotel. Any suggestions? We are from NYC area so are used to good, interesting food. Thanks.

A bit to the West, The White Cap in East Gulfport impressed us.

Though I knew it in about four previous iterations (hurricanes), we enjoyed, and it is laid back, but with good food and service.
