Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao in Little Neck?

Stopped by Prince Street today and noticed, on their Chop Stick wrapper, they listed three locations. : Prince street, a second on Northern Blvd in outer Flushing and Northern Blvd in Little Neck. On line I can't find any listing (Yelp and Google maps). Have I been sleeping and missed the Little Neck opening ? I live a lot closer to Little Neck than Prince Street and if its true, eating many more soup dumplings looms large for me and my wife. Yes, Yes, Yes, (I hope)

  1. Had a very nice lunch today - rice cakes, kau fu and pig's ears - and asked the woman at the register. To the best of my understanding, she confirmed that one of the venues is already open but that they don't serve xiao long bao, but that the other venue, which has yet to open, will have them.

    Stay tuned.

Your comment points out a caution when a good, authentic Asian restaurant opens up a branch in a location that is predominantly non-Asian. At least in California, we've seen that result in a dumbed down menu and/or dumbed down food. That doesn't always have to be the case, but it is certainly a danger.

FYI Northern blvd "outer Flushing" ( Murray Hill/Bayside) and Northern Blvd in Little Neck are among the most authentically "Asian" communities in New York City. The area is where Asian families live, work and eat. I can't wait for the opening.

    2. Bump - I was at the Prince location this past weekend and noticed the multiple addresses printed on the chopsticks wrapper too but cannot seem to Google any info about the Little Neck location. Has it opened? What about the outer Flushing location on Northern Blvd?
