Bourbon Steak

Finally made it to Bourbon Steak last month for a company event. We started out with a few cocktails at the bar which were amazing I ordered a Lion's Tail - which contains bulleit bourbon, st. elizabeth's allspice dram, fresh lime, cane syrup, angostura bitters
shaken and served up

I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartare - just okay

For an entee I orderd the 8 oz filet mignon accompanied by grilled half maine lobster ( which is very misleading since it was only a lobster claw) - I ordered the filet medium-rare it was cooked to perfection

Some of my dinner companions ordered Michael's Lobster Pot Pie which was enormous - I sampled this dish as well the brandied lobster cream was velvety smooth and lobster was perfectly done but all the flavors were muted

For sides we had
Black Truffle Mac & Cheese - just okay nothing to write home about
Brussel Sprouts,dates,toasted,hazelnuts - This was excellent
Yukin gold potato puree, gravy - good
For Dessert
Macallan 18 Butterscotch Pot de Creme - not an enjoyable combination

In all the food was just okay the cocktails and table service out of this world. Not a homerun experience

  1. My recommendation for Bourbon Steak is always to get there to snare a spot at the bar and enjoy the cocktails, conversation with the bartenders, and stellar bar food, especially their various burgers.

      The cocktails were to notch but since my dining experience was not up to par considering the hype and pricing I will have to pass on returning especially if its on my own dime

        We went this summer and for the price and hype I was very underwhelmed. Won't be back.
