BYOB?

Does anyone know of any nice date restaurants that are BYOB? Preferably with entrees in the $20-$25 dollar range per person. Any type of food is fine...

Thank you!

  1. Check out Apiary. If you go on Mondays, corkage is free.

    1. I like Gazala Place in Hell's Kitchen.

      1. Apiary looks good but it seems to serve wine...is it also BYOB?

Gazala doesn't seem quite date-y enough for my tastes.

Apiary allows BYOB with a corkage charge on all nights except Monday when corkage is free.

          Go to www.gobyo.com and search

        2. There are a number of ethnic spots that are BYO and places like Apiary and, I believe, Ciano that have special BYO nights (usually Monday).

For everyday BYO, La Sirene in Soho is one of the nicer spots and might make sense for a date. The food is good, traditional French bistro, and the setting is the same. It isn't anything cutting edge or amazing, and is a little cramped, but if BYO is important, it is a good choice.

Kuma Inn is the other spot that comes to mind, as it is a step up from some of the ethnic spots in terms of atmosphere. Not 100% certain they are still BYO, but always were.

          1. Nook in Hell's Kitchen. Tiny but good food and it seems like a popular date spot.
