One Night in DC - Where should I eat

From Toronto, looking for advice.

Going to be in DC in March for work, one night only.

Looking for suggestions on where to eat? What is your favorite dinner spot ?

Thank you!
Daniel

Given that you're coming from Toronto I might focus on a place that serves mid-Atlantic or Southern cuisine.

But you haven't told us where you're staying. That matters, particularly if you'll be here only for one night.

      What is your price range?

If you are looking to spend some dough I would go to The Source. For something a little more affordable I would get Ethiopian at Etete.

Birch and Barley - great American food.

Or, find some BBQ - The Standard might be open by then, have a beer and a brisket sandwich.

But I'd go to Birch and Barley, a great example of American food in a lovely environment with helpful service.

For upscale, I would suggest the Lounge at Citronelle (Modern) or Vidalia (Southern).

For downscale, the tiny soul food spot, Oohs and Aahs.

            Palena or Fiola.

Not sure if you get much Ethiopian Cuisine in Toronto - I would try Etete on U St
