ISO soba noodles

i'm wondering where i can get soba noodles prepared like they do it at ten ichi?? i'm not sure if it's authentic but the noodles are served by themselves with a cold sauce for dipping that you finish at the table by adding grren onions, wasabi and a raw quail egg....

ten ichi has slipped a little in my books and i don't think i'll be going there any more but i would love to be able get those noodles or something similar somewhere else.

i'm not sure if he still does this, but ted doesn't have separate dipping bowls, it's all in the same bowl. i do prefer dipping, but his soba is fantastic so it's a small issue. try the tofu version, it may sound boring to some but he also makes is own tofu.

he had expanded the menu a little and you can now get cold noodles with dipping on the side. tho you do have to ask for the soba tea at the end if you like it.

oh, and he is all experimenting with other strains of buckwheat to offer more variety in flavour.
