FOOTBALL FOOD-NEW YORK

Alright Niners are taking on the Giants...I need finger foods that are related to New York.
Being a NINER fan, I have been making food from the other teams home town to crush the competition.
I am not into hotdogs or Pizza and am bored with Mile Highs. But maybe a stromboli???
Any ideas , recipes for New York foods? Suggestions?
I will probably make a pastrami dip.

Thanks for any suggestions and especially recipes

Soft pretzel bites, served with a variety of dipping sauces. I can send a tried and true recipe if you like.

This is the recipe I use. They're great. Nice and chewy. They are best coming right out of the oven if you can juggle it, but they also reheat well. http://www.blogher.com/frame.php?url=...

In simple terms, yes. The Greek style is small chunks of marinated meat, then skewered. Typically, you would receive 5-6 pieces per skewer and often it is made into Pita Bread sandwich. The Asian style can be chunks like Yakitori or long strips of meat like Satay Style. The meats may be seasoned, but typically they are only dressed on a Hibachi type grill with different sauces...BBQ, Glazes or Peanut. They are not marinated beforehand. Beef, Pork, Chicken and Lamb are the usual suspects.

Some of the more popular food carts throughout the city serve meat skewers.....both Middle Eastern/Greek Style and Asian Style BBQ
