Irish Soda Bread?

tealtoaster Jan 18, 2012 01:55 AM

Greetings people of the internet!

Any tips on where to buy Irish soda bread in Chicago? My Irish friend has demanded I find some, but the two places I've found that look promising (Gaelic Imports & O'Conners) are an hour+ trek for me since I don't own a car. I live in Lakeview, so if anyone knows of somewhere a little more accessible before I haul my booty out to either of those places (especially since I'm sure I will want to make return trips later) - I would appreciate the tip! Thanks!

Whole Foods usually has it, especially as it gets closer to St. Pat's Day.

I know that it's very late to be answering your question, but Irish Soda bread is incredibly easy to make.

Recipes are easy to find, but I've used the Barefoot Contessa's recipe on the Food Network website. (I'll try to link to it with this message, but I have no idea how it works...)
