I like Casamento's fries. La Crepe Nanou had some awesome ones but it's been about 10 years since I've been there. The best ones in the past were Uglesich's.

Best fries at La Boca, but no burgers. Also very good fries at Grand Isle, but I don't know if they have burgers either, I think not. And Cafe Degas, alas no burgers.

Luke's huge burger comes with a cone of very good fries.

Oh! How could I forget Luke?! Excellent fries and excellent burger. Service can be slow.

Great fries accompany the mussels at Patois.

I like the parmesan garlic fries at Boucherie...

Best Burger: Cowbell (with bacon and fried egg)...

Haven't been to Truberger or Company burger yet...

+1 on the fries at Boucherie - I'd forgotten about those jewels. I used to get the boudin balls and the fries. They were both excellent.

            Best restaurant fries: Herbsaint
Best casual place fries: tru burger's skinny fries or Cowbell's thicker fries
Best non-potato fries: fried eggplant sticks at Joe Sepies
            I agree that Casamento's has great fries....mmmm.....lard!

High Hat has a good burger and house-made fries. They're thicker than the shoe-string fries at most high end establishments. Burger isn't the best in town (Martin Wine Seller is) but it's very good. Be sure to start with the tamales.
