Love 3 Muses, great food & music. It gets very crowded, has smaller tables, and doesn't take reservations so get there earlier or be prepared to split up. Green Goddess has creative drink menu and food. Inside is tiny but there may be tables outside weather permitting. Pelican Club is across the alley from GG. I would check out the bar area for eating. Had really good food but service was slow with several large parties.

Went to EAT last night...great as always. Home cooking and wonderful service. I had the stuffed green peppers, side of mac n cheese and a Caesar salad. Hubby had the friend green tomatoes with remoulade and the pork tenderloin. It is BYOL. Great little spot.
Sister restaurant, Vacherie, has recently opened in the Ste. Marie Hotel, corner of Toulouse and Dauphine. Have not personally been there, but am hearing good things.
Irene's Cuisine is one of my favorite restaurants and one that we visit very often. Everything on the menu is good. The key to dining at Irene's is to go early (when they open) or go late (9 PM)...customers abound and if you try for a prime time reservation, you will find yourself waiting in the small bar area...nice piano player makes the wait pleasant.
