Southern style, American southern style, BBQ in Orange/Tustin/Santa Ana/Costa Mesa

anything slightly noteworthy even? preferably if they got beef ribs too, in additoin to sliced beef.

      Burrell's BBQ in SantAna
      Tulsa Rib Company in Orange (more of bbq-sauce type place)

        Burrell's was going to be my first call. It is in a residential neighborhood with outdoor seating. It is as far from a corporate chain as you can find. I did not care for the peach pie, but the rest of the meal was tasty.

        I do like Lucille's though, pretty meaty beef ribs. Closest one is at the District.

        For take out (and dine in too I guess), Joey's Smokin BBQ is decent. They had a dry rub and a couple of souces if you want to try out the whole spectrum. It is in the little strip of fast food places near the Tustin Marketplace movie theater (the old one, not the Irvine side.)

          closest lucilles to orange/santa ana is prob the one in...orange....

          4050 w. chapman
          across from crystal cathedral where the hofs hut used to be.
          the location is usually always empty not many people know its there so u will be in and out like nobodys business =]
