Chocolate Covered Almonds

I'm obsessed with chocolate covered almonds lately. I had some that were a gift for Christmas- milk chocolate covered rolled in maybe confectioners sugar? It was white and not cocoa dusted like many of them are. Does anyone know of where I can get these in the Boston area? Or any other really good chocolate covered almonds? The ones I had were swiss chocolate coated and amazing!

  1. Taza sells some chocolate covered nuts (including almonds) that are pretty good. They are covered in their stone ground chocolate.

You can tour Taza Chocolate in Somerville. They make dark chocolate light roast.

Even better, you don't have to do the tour to taste all the chocolates in the store.

But I should add that the tour is great, and it's on the list of places to bring guests when they visit.

      1. Fastachi in Watertown may have what you're looking for.

        1. Trader Joe's has salted chocolate covered almonds. Salty, maybe not gourmet, but very tasty. And not a lot of money.

I'm very fond of the TJ's chocolate covered almonds. I can almost convince myself they're healthy, too!

          2. Formaggio Kitchen may have something that fits the bill. Saw them in the case at the South End store this week. Didn't pay close attention so you may want to call.

            1. W(t)F has a chocolate covered almond, cocoa dusted, imported by Mitica, that are outrageously good, expensive, but very, very good

Sorry, they are from La Tienda called 'piedras' and they are still wonderful, at WF

W(t)F...we really do need a LIKE button!

I still manage to spend plenty of money there, though, and they do have an impressive selection of chocolates.
