February 2012 Cookbook of the Month Voting
The nomination thread has closed and we have narrowed it down to the books listed below. Now is the time to decide which book will be chosen for February. More information on how COTM works, and previous books chosen can be found at http://www.chow.com/cookbook_of_the_month_archive Please remember to VOTE IN ALL CAPS. Voting will close at 2 pm (eastern time) this coming Thursday (Jan. 19th) and I will post the winner that afternoon.
MIGHTY SPICE by John Gregory-Smith
SLOW COOKER MONTH, which seems to have been narrowed down to The Italian Slow Cooker by Michele Scicolone and The Indian Slow Cooker by Anupy Singla. All you need to do with this one is put SLOW COOKER MONTH, unless you feel you’d like to add or subtract something.
JAPANESE MONTH, which would include Washoku by Elizabeth Andoh and Japanese Cooking: A Simple Art by Shizuo Tsuji. Again, all I would need is JAPANESE MONTH for your vote, unless you feel you want to amend it.
SPLENDID SOUPS by James Peterson

LulusMom: I just want to clarify: a vote for Japanese month means *only* Washoku and Simple Art, correct?
I have another Andoh, and some other Japanese books, so I'm not ready to buy a new one until I've spent more time with my current books. The others are not in my library system.›4 Replies -

What a nailbiter this is turning out to be! Apologies for the interruption. I'm not voting this month because I'm not sure how committed can be to cooking from "The Book" whichever it may be in February, but I am interested in the results because I MIGHT cook along, so I'm posting in this thread now so I can see on my MyChow page when new votes happen. I sure wish I hadn't given away my Japanese cookbook! ~TDQ
