Visiting Seoul in February - anyone up for a chowhound night?
Tokyo-based chowhound here. I will be in Seoul with work 16-18 February and will probably remain in Seoul until Sunday (after the work bit ends on Saturday morning). If any other chowhound(s) happen to be around and are up for a foodie night out, please let me know. I'd love to explore the culinary side of the city.
I have been to Korea a few times before (Seoul and Busan) and had a great time (even though makkoli definitely got the better of me). I spent a lot of time in particular in Busan eating my way through the Jagalchi fish market area, and in Seoul enjoyed ungodly amounts of barbecued meat and course upon course of delicious Korean royal cuisine. It would be great to have a few bites with some other food lovers.
You can add me to the list of people who arent big fans of Bo Innovation :)
Anyway, I may be in Seoul that weekend - if so, would love to meet up if you guys will have me. Non-local, but i'll try anything.
As for hiking in Jeju, i just finished hiking in Jeju last week, and it definitely is cold. But it was beautiful!
Just let me know...no obligations.
Folks, just a quick request that in keeping with our Etiquette for Chowdowns and other Gatherings ( http://www.chowhound.com/topics/36760... ), someone provide an email address (use a throw away web address if you're worried about spam on your regular account) so the planning for this meetup can happen offline.
re: The Chowhound Team
Chowteam - understood. Tried to send a personal message to arlingtonstomache but don't seem to be able to do it through his profile (might be my computer illiteracy though).
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org - arlingtonstomache (and anyone else who might be in Seoul this weekend), please e-mail me re: the chowmeet.
