Chinese New Year Celebration Northern Virginia/Wash DC

Someone had said that the Falls Church celebration was cancelled - it is not.

5th Annual Chinese New Year Celebration

9:30am-5:30pm,Luther Jackson Middle School, Fall Church, VA

Chinese New Year Festival in Washington, DC area is sponsored by Asian Community Service Center annually. The festival includes indoor events with cultural performance including dragon and lion dances, delicious Asian foods, workshops on Chinese cooking and language, health and business booths, and children’s activities, among other attractions. Admission is FREE.

The eve of the Chinese New Year is when the whole family gathers together. Northern Virginia has large Asian communities. No matter where we are from, our hearts are together with our families, particularly during the Chinese New Year.

    Thanks for the head's up Misha! Does anyone know of any Northern VA restaurants that are having special events (i.e. dragon dance or other entertainment) to celebrate the Chinese New Year? I know Eden Center typically has that sort of thing, but any other ideas?
