Quarter Pounder with a dark bun.

Does anybody recall many years ago when McDonalds offered a Quarter Pounder on a dark bun for a limited time. I remember it being pretty good.

        Sounds like a Brawny Lad from Big Boy; never had something similar from McD's...maybe a local offering?

          It could have been local here in Minnesota, and it was probably more than 15 years ago.

        That burger is not available at McD's its at another chain in France, and it's missing the key midddle pice of bread.

      2. Are you talking about the Cheddar Melt? It had a rye bun.

          When did McDonald's do a Cheddar Melt? Must have been a regional test item.

            It must have been about 20-25 years ago. It was a burger on a rye bun with cheese sauce and grilled onions. I don't know if it was regional.

                Thanks ttoommyy, I am glad I am not the only one who liked it. I too would like it back, it was like a fast food patty melt.
