Sunday brunch buffet @ Fives, Peninsula New York.. what the???

Today, I had Sunday brunch buffet at Fives inside the Peninsula New York. The buffet menu clearly states their cauliflower soup is served with Perigord truffle, and poached eggs florentine comes with lobster and "caviar". Well, the cauliflower soup had no trace of truffle, or even truffle oil (LOL). Poached eggs florentine with lobster and "caviar", which is prepared to order, arrived with no "caviar" at all. So I asked the manager whether it was supposed to have caviar as their menu clearly said. He took it back to the kitchen and brought it out again... This time with salmon roe. Was this supposed to be a joke?

My one experience with Fives was not a good one. It was during Restaurant Week at least 7 years ago. A plain, single cup of not great coffee was $6 on the bill. When we inquired the waiter said that was a special for RW, that it was usually $7. Silly place, unmemorable food. But your experience is downright fraudulent!

Made the mistake of having lunch at Fives during this year's RW. Average food and the service was so rushed we felt like we were impinging on the wait staff's/chefs break time. Of our five RW meals, Fives was the least enjoyable. Oh, and the tea now goes for $9.

$89 a person and they cannot find a copy editor?? I counted 3 misspellings on that short menu!
