Teaneck dairy restaurant recommendation for 60th bday party

Can anyone recommend a dairy restaurant in Teaneck for a 60th birthday party on a Sunday afternoon? Need a place that is nice but with reasonable prices and preferably with a private room
as we will have lots of little kids in attendance.
Thank you!

We hosted a luncheon at Pasta Factory a few years ago and we were quite pleased. They were very easy to work with over the phone from California. They DID charge us for the folks who didn't show up, but I think that's fair because we had ordered a set menu and we were around 20 people.

We were not a large enough group to take a private room but I seem to recall that it was pricey..

SoCal...I bet the OP knows but you wouldn't...Pasta Factory went to meat about 2 years and re-opened as NoBo (yes...a purposeful play on NoBu).

      You can read the thread.

I have no idea what NoBu means but I am guessing No Butter???
If it's the same management, they were very easy to work with.
I should probably limit my suggestions to places I have been to recently...

Anyway, I hope that OP has a wonderful party.

No, Nobu is a fancy sushi place. But I don't think the name has anything to do with that.

NoBo refers to it being located north of Bogota, since it is in the southernmost part of Teaneck, near the Bogota border.

Oh no no no Deis.. go back and look at the first post which has the press release about the opening....It was >>specifically<< named to be evocative of Nobu and anything hipster.

                Nobu is not hipster.

SoHo and multiple other neighborhoods (NoLIta, TriBeCa, DUMBO, etc.) with naming like that are much more so. And that's why they named it that.

You might want to consider Ariel's in Englewood. I think the owner Craig is eager to do business and will work with you. I am pretty sure there isn't a private room, but you should check out the space.

I was not going to publicise here what happened to us at Ariels, and I really rather not go into details, but I really really do NOT recommend Ariels for a party. Food was poor, service was atrocious and many other reasons.

I am partial to Shelley's . Their food is always excellent. Their presentation is always attractive and the service is attentive and professional. They have been around for years;it shows. My family has not been impressed by Mocha Bleu's service. Rabica is good too, cheaper than Shelley's . I have only been there once, so I can not fairly say more, except that the food was fine when I went with my husband and two other couples.

I am not a fan of Shellys at all. I also cannot really recommend Mocha Bleu- I just find the prices very high, but we have never ever had a problem with service or taste of the food. My favorite dairy place in Teaneck is Rabica- Rabica does not have a private room though and Mocha Bleu does. Not sure about Shellys.

How is the space at Rabica? We would be about 19 adults and same # children

They would have room for that.. I think. but it would mean taking up the whole restaurant.
