Anyplace to get decent steaks around here ?

Restaurant or butcher?

DD Meats in Mountlake Terrace is a good butcher in the Lynnwood area. However I'm not enough of steak fan to judge whether they are better than anyone else. I rarely buy anything more expensive than hanging tender and flat iron.

costco for sure. got amazing prime ribeyes at the shoreline location last week. these are the grain-fed-not so good for the environment kind, but a true treat. S&L Quality Meats near the 1-5 at Mill Creek has grass fed beef from a good CA ranch.

Kent & lynnwood are on opposite sides of Seattle (Kent is South, Lynnwood is North) probably around 30 to 40 miles from each other.

Mom lives near Lynnwood, sister in Kent, I'm from D.C. Not impressed with the steaks at the local supermarkets, and wondering what I'm missing.

Most of the supermarkets here carry only Select. QFC and Top Foods/Haggen carry Choice and sometimes a little Prime. Try them.

Or the best bet of all, Costco. Always Choice, minimum, with some Prime. (Except for the Business Center in Lynnwood which carries no prime but does have Select if you're on a budget.)
