Got a great deal at the Radisson Ft. McDowell and was wondering if there were any great places to eat in Mesa. Any cuisine, any decor , any price...lol. Thanks.

There's a fantastic Italian restaurant called Alessia's on Brown & Higley- you wouldn't think much of it from its strip mall location, but they have great food, and a really thorough wine list. If you're up at Ft. McDowell, you might want to look into restaurants in Fountain Hills- should be much closer to you- but afraid I don't really have any recommendations in that regard.

I enthusiastically second the recommendation for Alessia's, and also beg to keep an open mind regarding its environs.

I was also thinking Fountain Hills / Scottsdale, off E. Shea Blvd. Some board favorites in that neighborhood include Pars Persian and Osha Thai. I haven't been to either for a couple of years or more, and haven't heard much about them, lately.
