What NYC food item do you send to 75 people from out of town - other than bagels?
I want to send a NYC food-based thank-you gift to an office in California with 75 people, but bagels are out.
Not sure cheesecake or cupcakes are a good idea, they may be New York-y, but great examples can easily be found out there. Doughnut plant doesn't ship. Pickles aren't fun:)
I'm blanking on any other ideas. If you've got one and would like to share, that would be really cool.

Jars of mustard from Carnegie Deli. Best mustard ... EVER. Also pretty reasonable at about $2.50 or so per jar.

Aw shucks ... you're gonna make me blush! I always keep a few jars of this on hand. It truly is the best mustard IMO. A smear on some pastrami or corned beef on rye .... heaven! Very New York.
They'll also be happy to ship their meats as well if you like. I'm guessing that you are in IT like me and your sales kick off is next week ... ???

I'm not sure what your budget is, but the first thought of something my California relatives would want me to send is ANYTHING from Katz's Deli on East Houston St. They are pricey, but definitely worth it! They have the best taste of New York that can be shipped anywhere. I would think the knishes and hot dogs might travel well :)

Really good idea mm, but I don't think of that as office-friendly (like a finger food)... maybe mini cannoli from veniero's though.

The easiest thing to do this with is baked goods. Ruling out what you can get elsewhere, I would go for some of the more unusual items from Momofuku Milk Bar. My second choice would be Levain, likely a few cookies. I don't think they would travel well or I would also throw some macarons into the mix.

Excellent ideas, thanks people!
I'm gonna go with the Milk Bar cookies - that's perfect, come pre-wrapped, and should travel well - not to mention they're quintessential NY.

Ok, maybe its just me - and everyone else in my family - but we found the Momofuko wrapped cookies just awful. Inedible. Too sweet, too odd, just not good. Though we know they sell a bunch.

I know it's not trendy or cool to say so, but I love the corn cookies and the blueberry cookies there and my family devours the compost cookies at a prodigous rate.

Another option would be mini pastries from La Bella Ferrara. They've been there forever and IMO are the best in little italy.
They have 4 types of mini canolis, loads of cookies, and all sorts of other wonderful pastries.

Lee lee's. Yes, they're great. But a very no frills joint, so you'd have to do the packaging/ shipping. Could combine with cookies from Levain on Frederick Douglass btwn 116/117
