Burger search within 15 minutes of Caldwell

I am from NJ, I love the food, but there are some staples that it is hard to find.
During the summer, I live for LBIs Mustache Bills burgers; but when I am home and don't feel like cooking, it is actually quite difficult to find a decent burger. I am looking for greasy, gourmet, and just plain interesting. Any and all suggestions are welcomed!

I have a few friends that love Gaffers burgers. I pass it all the time on my way to Star Tavern. I used to go there for beers occasionally but I have to get over there for the burger.

You should definitely try the Kobe Beef Burger at the Bonefish Grill in Pinebrook. I know that Bonefish is mostly a fish a restaurant, but their hamburger is astonishingly good. In fact, I find that I rarely order the fish anymore (which is no slight to their fish, I just love the burger that much).

As I mentioned, Bonefish Grill is technically not in Caldwell, it’s in Pinebrook, but is pretty close.

Top's Diner in East Newark has a great burger. Krug's in the Ironbound section of Newark is well known for their fabulous burgers.

Not a fan of 5 Guys. The burgers are ok. Certainly they look good enough while they're making them, but for some reason they always come out looking (and tasting) like a mushy, soggy, mess. The fries are natural cut and should be terrific, but they bury them under a salt seasoning mix which ruins them.

I thought they just relocated about 1/4 mile away to the shopping center with the Shop Rite.
