Poste Roast alternative?

dcdiner555 Jan 12, 2012 03:23 PM

I'm planning a rehearsal dinner for 14 people and was thinking of doing a Poste Roast. I've gone before and the food was delicious and the setting was very pretty. Poste Roasts are usually limited to 12 people and I was told that 14 was doable, but the space may be tight. Is there somewhere else I should be considering as an alternative? I believe Palena also does something similar but I've never been.

My criteria: able to accommodate 14 people, interesting family-style menu, good food, attractive setting, not too loud/crowded, and (ideally) not more than $100 per person with food and alcohol. Any thoughts?

I don't have stellar ideas, but I'll give the two restaurants I know that do family style and hopefully others will chime in: both Hill Country and Carmine's meet the price point and family style needs - just not sure you'll get an interesting menu!
