recipe for BBQ sauce with Bourbon please

I had some bourbon BBQ sauce when I was in the south (can't remember where though). I loved it. I have never made homemade BBQ sauce but and considering doing so for a pulled pork pizza. Any tried and true boubon recipes?

Raichlen 's ribs monograph has a mint bourbon sauce that is good.
Smoke and spice has one bour b q sauce that is good and very simple. The bourbon flavor is quite strong in both, may want to throttle back a tad
