Looking for a new local bar
I currently live in Brooklyn, and am moving to Philly in a few short months. High on my list of things to worry about is finding a new local pub--having a comfortable place to go have a beer on a Sunday afternoon is one of my great pleasures. Ideally, I'm looking for something off the green line or the blue line, with a good jukebox and a relaxed atmosphere.
Does anyone have any favorites they can recommend?
Thanks!

Do you know where you're living? There's probably somewhere great in your backyard, Philly is full of awesome neighborhood bars.
To answer your question:
Local 44 isn't far off the 34 trolley (green line) and has pretty good food and very good beer, chill atmosphere, not sure about the jukebox. Khyber in Old City, near 2nd St stop on the El (blue line) has great food, beer, jukebox and relaxed atmosphere but on weekends the whole neighborhood is a shitshow because it's on a major strip of bars and clubs. Sunday afternoons would be chill though. Good Dog, near 15th St El stop is good too but can get crowded... Up in Northern Liberties, near Spring Garden and Girard El stops there are lots of great neighborhood places: North 3rd, Abbaye, Standard Tap, Johnny Brenda's to name a few, you just gotta find your place.Blue, green, orange line terms are not really used by locals. El, trolley, subway respectively.
