"Share" tab necessary?

The share tab that pops out from the left margin makes looking at Chow on my computer annoying and on my smart phone, impossible. Any plans to eliminate now that changes are being contemplated?

What sort of phone are you using? The mobile version of the site isn't meant to show the share tab at all.

Moreover, is the share tab covering content? It's meant to retract if it would overlap with anything important.

Blackberry, is there an app to download? I just get in on the 'net and that flap is always in the way on the phone. On my netbook, it gets in the way also. It pops out if I get anywhere near it and takes a while to retract. I don't ever use it and find it really like swatting flies.

No app I'm afraid, and I seem to recall that Blackberries do not get the mobile site.
