Lunch at Ippudo - how long is the wait?

Been many times for dinner, never for lunch.
Hoping to take a friend tomorrow - anyone have insight to the wait times, approx 1:30 for two.

Tnx
Chick

I went at an odd like, like 3PM on a weekday and I was alone and the wait was still about 20 minutes.

For those that frequent Ippudo, does trying to go 15-30minutes before lunch opening on Sunday make it a longer wait than other days?

In my experience, weekends are longer for lunch than weekdays. If you get there 15 minutes before opening, there will be a line already and I would guess that you are waiting at least an hour.

I would plan on at least 45 minutes to an hour

Thanks for the input - i tried heading down about 30 minutes beforehand in preparation (that's all I had), but it was closer to an hour. My back-up plan (for a casual, inexpensive semi-business lunch) was The Cannibal, and turned out fine.

I got to Ippudo at 10:45 a.m., 15 minutes before they opened, on Friday, Dec. 29th, and there were already 30 people in line. By the time the restaurant opened, there were probably 75 people in line. When I left, at around 12:15, the wait was 2 hours long for a party of 2. I can't tell you what the wait would be at 1:30 p.m., but I would never attempt to get in after 10:45 a.m.

Keep in mind many people had that day off from work. Along with visitors over the holiday.
