So i am hitting the big 4-0 at the end of the month. We plan on celebrating the day of my birthday at home with our kids. But we do have tickets to the Mavs game on the 29th so we want to make it a celebratory outing (w/o kids) that night. The deal is we don't want to spend too much money b/c we are heading to France in a week to do some celebrating there. We love Meddlesome moth (mmmm zucchini chips!!!) but it may not be special enough....but the price point is great! We also love Neighborhood Services but we probably can't get in an out of there in time to see the game. Would Smoke fit the bill?? Any suggestions??

Try Komali. It is off 75 & Fitzhugh. Salum would also be an option if the price point isn't too high.

Smoke's food is wonderful. And, you can make reservations.
Check out their menu for pricing.

It says reservations for parties of six or more....:( And I just noticed the game is at 5:30......I guess it will be a late dinner. Also, thinking of Kenny's Wood Fire Grill but would prefer smoke......

Well if you're thinking of dinner after the game now instead of before, then you've got a lot of options. If you're heading back up the 75, you could hit somewhere on Knox-Henderson - maybe Swig?

Within walking distance of the AAC itself there isn't too much at your price point, except maybe Saint Ann. It's a pretty place but I found the food to be sub-par. However, they do have a special gameday menu which might appeal to you: http://saintanndallas.com/menu/game-day/

Kenny's Wood Fired Grill is pretty good. But, It's definitely not Smoke.

Hey, Trulucks on Mckinney would be perfect! Could get a bit pricy, though.
