Need a recommendation for breakfast in Galveston

Hello all,

I'm hosting a breakfast meeting in Galveston on Friday and need a recommendation on a good spot. I had thought about the Mosquito Cafe, but they are only open for breakfast on the weekends. Any help is much appreciated.

  1. The Sunflower Bakery and Cafe just down the street from Mosquito Cafe has great hot breakfasts and a separate meeting area. Highly recommended. Open M-F at 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m. weekends.

    1. Recently attended Dickens on the Strand and had a couple of terrific meals. Had breakfast at the Sunflower Bakery and Cafe and loved it. My granddaugters had wonderful Belgian waffles, my wife had an asparagus omlete and I had eggs benedict. All were extremely tasty. The waiter was extremely knowledgable and attentive, even as crowd began to build. We also stocked up on several items from bakery for our trip home. The Sunflower is now a must stop whenever we visit Galveston.
The day before we had lunch at Marios on the Seawall. Excellent pasta and the pizza , according to my granddaughters was out of sight.
