It all depends upon your budget and your tastes. The possibilities are almost endless. Can you narrow this down a bit? The hotels are best equipped and you can do well with the Four Season'a Biltmore for the most dazzling and romantic setting ($$$$$) or the Hotel Canary and see if you can have a roof top garden city view bash. Or more modestly but with still a grand setting, the El Paseo Restaurant with a Mexican buffet. Events at Stella Mares can handle a large group. Etc, etc, etc.
Here is a good starting list of places that offer private rooms but most are smaller than you want, but Coast at the Canary might be a good place to see what can be done, as well as a good hotel right down town for out of town guests: http://www.santabarbara.com/dining/re...

Yes, Arnoldi's has a great back yard arbor patio for such and event. Food is okay, but the place holds a special and historic place in the hearts of old time Santa Barbarans. Lots of local events take place there and the owners are great and accommodating. Thanks for reminding me of this location too. It would be very family friendly. Parking is hard as it has to be on the streets, but it is a walkable area during the day. http://santabarbara.com/dining/review...
