Domaine de l'arlot Nuits St. Georges

Does anyone drink this anymore? If so, what are the more recent vintages like?

I bought many cases of Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru through the 80's. I didn't sell many so I have been drinking them -and am drinking a 1985 right now. It has been STELLAR all these years and I am almost out. This wine (even when young) used to have a wonderful elegance to it...light but structured - unfiltered (and they used to not destem...now?) with great legs and "mouthfeel" like a more expensive Romanee.

I always thought of it as under appreciated. I have no recent experience with it. Any input would be welcome.

I have been drinking the Domaine de l'Arlot Clos des Forets Nuits Saint-Georges 1er cru over the last couple of years, a mixture of 1999, 2001 & 2002. Very much prefered the '99s in fact had the last bottle on christmas day. I've got 2 cases each of the 2005 and 2009 in bond.

Interestingly I do have a few remaining 2002 Domaine de l'Arlot Nuits Saint-Georges white. Great true chardonnay taste buttery and rich.

Domaine de l'Arlot is not an often found producer but it remains an honest quality made product.
Big fan of thier premier cru Vosne-Romanée - Les Suchots.
Here is a link to a review of some of the more recent vintages.

      Thank you.

Looks like they still ferment whole clusters. I shall track down some bottles and sample!
