Classy place for drinks near WTC Path station

I am meeting a friend for drinks on Friday afternoon. Any suggestions near the WTC Path station? I then have to get to GCT; I would probably take the 1,2,3 up to Times Sq and then the S across. Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

+1 for Brandy Library and Plein Sud - the latter is a rather blah restaurant with surprisingly good cocktails.

Also worth considering is Ward III - probably the best cocktails in the area, though it can be a mob scene in the evenings. Depends what time you're going, really.

Le Plein Sud, or the Smyth Hotel ( in same location as plein sud) is classy and not too far from WTC path , maybe 6 blocks. or the opposite direction, you can have drinks in the Ritz Carlton, or go to Harry's

Silver lining is just a couple of blocks north; it is in the lower level of an older mansion. It is a jazz bar with generally classic cocktails with a twist. It is a classy yet not stuffy scene, has been pretty popular since it opened last year. What time in the afternoon, however? This may affect your options.

Would you be willing to go to Tribeca? It's not too far of a walk or a subway ride. There's the Brandy Library near the Citigroup headquarters, Another Room, the bar area of the Tribeca Grand hotel or the bar area of one of the restaurants in Tribeca.

This is a nice place, though crowded after work.

The advantage here is that you can take the 4 or 5 from Wall Street direct to GCT.
