London - Hokkien Noodles @ Malaysia Kopi Tiam
Calling all Malaysians, and especially KL-lites hungry for a taste of KL-style Hokkien noodles! The version at Malaysia Kopi Tiam which I tried this evening was amazingly close to those one gets off the streets of Kuala Lumpur - fragrant thick noodles, fresh shrimps, crunchy squid strips & choy sum vegetables, all smothered with tasty dark soysauce and generously studded with delicious nuggets of golden crisp-fried pork lard.
Another menu item - little pork dumplings in curry sauce was unlike anything I'd ever seen in Malaysia before, but presented familiar tastes as Malaysia Kopi Tiam basically paired HK-style Chinese "sui kow" dumplings with Malaysian curry laksa sauce. A tad on the salty side, but otherwise packed full of flavors.

Address, please! Oh, wait, it's in the map at the right. :-)
Charing Cross Rd...are there any of those nice bookstores and antiquarian book sellers left in that immediate area?
Looks good, obviously they tasted very good too! Lots of pork lardons in the Hokkien Mee?
Oh, this place served the motherlode of lardons in their Hokkien Mee - I'd not anything like this anywhere in the US, so if you're here in London, do take the opportunity to come here, huiray.
Loads of antiquarian bookshops across the street still - especially Cecil Court and Charing Cross Rd itself.
