French restaurant for 25 high school kids

Returning to NYC for the Model UN Conference in early March. This year our country is France. We're staying at the Hilton on 53rd and 6th. Friday night we'd like to find a French restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Remember - these are high school kids who can spend about $25 for a dinner. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

This reminds me of the time when i was dining with a friend at a sort of casual restaurant.
A large group of teenagers walked with a few guardians. They were not being excessively loud or obnoxious but I remember a few customers complaining about the noise and commotion they were creating..so if you do visit these restaurants, please expect that.

You might try reserving for the whole group at Tout va Bien - classic French, about a 5 block walk (51st and 9th as I recall).

Agree with Tout va Bien they also have a back room, and handle large groups coming for theater excursions all of the time. You are guaranteed that your server will speak french and you won't be putting anyone off with your group because it is usually packed and humming. It is on 51st at 8th by the way.

Seconded: couldn't be closer (55th between 5th and 6th), affordable, and they've got that back room.
