Trendy, fun upscale restaurants in LV for 12-14 ppl

Hello Everyone. I hope someone can help me. We will be traveling to LV from NYC end of March and I am looking for trendy, upscale fun places to have dinner for 12-14 ppl. It is a birthday trip and we are all in end 30's beginning 40's. Not too stuffy places pls. We are staying in the Cosmopolitan. Food has t be good but the place has to be fun.
Also looking for 1 night where we can dine and then go dancing, prefer same area or place?!

What kind of food? How much do you want to spend per person? With the amount of people you are going with I would suggest making a reservation as soon as possible.

No Chinese or Mexican. Open to all other cuisines. We want to spend $100 p.P How is STK at the Cosmopolitan or TAO? Since we will go dancing after dinner I figured TAO will be a good option but reading reviews on this board I am not sure now if it is a good option?!

They are both good options - although much different for scene and dining. STK is a good steakhouse with a high energy vibe that gets louder and clubbier as the nigh progresses. If you are starting a night out to go clubbing/dancing, this is a great spot. TAO is similar in that regard, however, the food is not as good, but it is pretty good considering price and options. We had very good service, drinks, sushi, and asian food there the last time and the place goes a little off the hook as it passes midnight. Another good spot to start especially with a large group. STK may charge minimums or a set menu for your size where TAO is used to big groups. I still recommend contacting them ahead and getting it reserved. They will take better care of you if you don't just show up....

Thank you for your response. I contacted STK and they can provide with private room maximum of 16th people, or give us 2 tables with 8 ppl per table. I want us all to sit together and have a good time. I called TAO as well and they told they take reservations up to 1 month in advance so i will call in February. In the meantime, I am still looking for a restaurant for thursday night. Any other recommendations? Again, it will be a large group. How is MIX? Thank you so much for your help

Mix is good. I love Jaleo so that is a good choice, although you would have both nights in the Cosmo, so if you want to see some other hotels other spots you may want to factor that in.
