Lowell MA Restaurants
I went to two good restaurants in Lowell. I found the first on Chowhound-Simply Khumer. I had never had cambodian food before and it was wonderful. Very crispy, hot and sweet spicy chicken wings, refreshing salad of cellaphane noodles, shrimp, chicken, mint, basil-like herb and hot ground chicken with peppers.
The other restaurant is Centro in downtown Lowell-italian inspired American sophisticated comfort food . Great service, beautiful, funky fun atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Just stumbled across this post and wanted to offer another idea in Lowell. Two nights ago we tried Fuse Bistro in the old firehouse (the space where Cafe Paradiso used to be). The dishes we tried were beautifully prepared and portions were generous. I had braised short rib ragout with pasta and my husband ordered the steak + frites. Along with the bottle of malbec we ordered, the meal was just right to warm us up on a cold winter night. And though our waitress was very busy, she made sure we had everything we needed--including letting us sample our wine before we ordered the full bottle. We've been to Fuse only once so far, but hope this very happy experience will be repeated when we go back (soon).
