Business lunch west village to 30's on the westside

Looking for a place to have a pleasant business lunch. preferably Italian, American or Meditteranean cuisine. Not too formal but nice ambiance. Where we can talk and hear each other during a business lunch. Last two times were at Gramercy Tavern and Standard Grill. Both went well.
Great food a must. Looking to spend abt $40pp at most (not including drinks). Thnk that's a decent budget for lunch. I am paying for the group!

West Village, Chelsea, Flatiron, West 20's or 30's ideal.

Thanks in advance!

Although Tocqueville would be my first choice, Perry Street is also quite good and offers a reasonable prix fixe lunch which is well within your budget.

my top rec is the new Le Promenade des Anglais (23rd St, by 10th Ave).

The pub room at Keens Chophouse might work too.

Ciano or Tocqueville in the Flatiron district.

I thought Tocquville but thought it was super expensive. Will check out the menu.
          Thanks so much

Tocqueville offers a $29.07 lunch prix fixe and is also participating in Restaurant Week from January 16 to February 12.
