1pm lunch 2 Fridays ago. 2 or 3 other tables and our deuce.

Clam cakes & lobster salad for me. Fritters were fine. Yuzu mayo o.k. Lobster done perfectly with well dressed greens. Not too exciting but not a real adventurous order either. Servers wine suggestion was good however don't remember what it was. Strawberries, lemon curd and ras al hanout ice cream was great. I should have had two.

My companion had chowda' and was fine with it. Scallops and shimeji mushrooms looked great and I wasn't offered a taste. It must have been good. Said chocolate panna cotta was "indiscrete". I'm not sure what was meant.

Room is really beige/dull or too "tasteful" for me. The service was o.k. The check was the most exciting or startling or part of the afternoon

I don't think I'll head back. I wouldn't turn down a free lunch at Providence. It's just not a destination. Maybe dinner is more fun.

So, I guess I was disappointed. Water Grill is closer to the hotel I usually stay at anyway.

Well, I posted a few weeks ago on a birthday dinner, and we came to somewhat similar assessments.
