ISO food-grade lavender

Looking for lavender to cook with. I see it in grocery and flower stores from time to time but no one was actually ever able to confirm that it was food-grade (pesticide free).

Then again, is it really that important? I mean most fruits have pesticides, not sure a quick wash gets it of an apple. And most citrus fruits are waxed and I use the zest all the time.

I got a packet at Anatol, it was in the herbal tea section and I was assured it was food grade.

I'm pretty sure the Vrac Merci stores sell it in their herbal tea section, as well.

My friends run Joie de Lavandre in Knowlton - I've eaten products with their lavender in so I'm pretty sure it's food grade.
