Finding a replacement vegie/chicken burrito on westside?

We used to live in Venice around the corner from Fiesta Brava on Rose. A very decent local Mexican restaurant. One of the things they would make for us was a fantastic chicken and veggie burrito. It was not on the menu, all it had in it was chicken, broccoli, zucchini, some onions, in either their red or green sauce.

We now live in Mar Vista and though we could drive over to Fiesta Brava for the burrito I would love to find someplace that would make a comparable one.

I have spoken with:

Paco's, Lares, Gilberts and a few others and they all have no idea what I am talking about and they say they have NO, none, zero vegetables other than onions and peppers.

Even at Fista Brava we had to remind them of what we had ordered in the past, but each time it was an excellent, non carbo loaded burrito.

Any thoughts on othe places I should try to convince that they can indeed do it in my new area. I will definitely try Gallego's.

  1. Try Tacomiendo on Gateway near Pico.
I always order their meat offerings which are very good, but remember them having a veggie burrito with grilled squash and peppers.

There is another Tacomiendo even closer to Mar Vista, on Culver and Inglewood. And although they don't have a chicken+veggie burrito in the menu, I'm sure if you ask, they will do it. They already do great veggie tacos!

    2. You might try Taqueria Sanchez, on the west side of Centinela between Washington and Culver.

Or the second location of Tacos Por Favor, in the little cluster northeast of Olympic at Bundy. They have my favorite hot red sauce on the westside.

While Taqueria Sanchez has the Pollo part down, they do not have the veggies the OP is looking for, unless you count the pickled carrots and jalapenos they have in the salsa bar.
