Appetizers and Drinks on a Budget?

hotsauce123 Jan 6, 2012 10:34 AM

I am going out on Saturday night with a friend. We decided to do drinks and appetizers to keep the prices down. We dont mind eating at the bar and thought it would be a fun change from a whole dinner...any ideas? Any neighborhood goes but we are typically a downtown crew.

How about those Japanese Izakaya in east village?
Village yokocho or Yakitori Taisho...or Kenka...great food and cheap beer by pitcher.
or at a place like The bourgeois pig for some fondue and wine.

      This may interest you:

We recently had a quick snack (split a burger) with drinks at Fatty Cue's bar, which was fun. We also enjoy doing some apps and wine at the bar at Otto, though it can get very busy.
