Lunch in/near Orange, CT

We and another couple will be driving from NYC to the LLBean outlet in Orange, CT this Monday and we'll be having a casual lunch in the area.

Our friends don't care for Mexican. We're thinking along the lines of Italian, Chinese, Thai, seafood, all-American.

Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

We decided to just cross the highway and eat at Shanghai Gourmet - General Tao's Chicken, String Beans and Beef, Chicken w/Cashews - all delicious.
Friendly service, very nice experience.

I am glad you liked it. I live over an hour away from there and since I have been going to Shanghai Gourmet any other chinese food near me is just gross compared to them.

If you like burgers, Plan B Burger Bar opened in Milford not long ago. (In the same plaza with Whole Foods.)

Lao Sze Chaun and Peking Duck are both excellent , Wild Ginger is now Samurai and I have not been there since the change. Gabriella's (SP?) is good for Italian.

I've heard good things about Peking Duck House, which is about a half mile up the Post Rd from LL Bean.

I've heard great things about Peking Duck House, too, but it's still on my gotta get there list. Of course, can't beat Lao Sze Chuan for Chinese in Milford when you're in that neck of the woods. I always loved Wild Ginger in Orange, too, though haven't been in a while. Lots of delicious casual lunch options for sure!
