Lunch in Jackson, TN?

  • 1

We will be in Jackson TN on Saturday and will be looking for somewhere to have lunch. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, but would prefer something with good food and not a chain. BBQ is fine, but not a necessity as we live in Memphis so have access to great BBQ on a daily basis. Just feeling a bit lost and can't seem to find any good suggestions, even when I ask people from that area!
Thanks in advance.

  1. Seems like 100 years ago when I was in school there, the place parents from Union always wound up was the Old Country Store or something like that in Casey Jones Village (like a cracker barrel, but not part of the chain). Reggie's BBQ was a favorite, hole-in-the-wall barbeque. Unfortunately, I haven't lived there since 1999, and when I did, we students tend to think Arby's was "eating out" and Chili's/Perkin's was "special," so I'm not much help:-( I'm curious to see the answers you receive.
