I do not know Charlotte too well...we had brunch at Nolen Kitchen yesterday and went to a butcher shop across the street afterward. I saw Merguez there...but have no idea about the quality. We were just looking around letting "brunch" wear off...

That would be New York Butcher Shoppe - http://nybutcher.com. I don't know much about this place, other than it's part of a small chain of butcher "shoppes" in the SE. I think it's similiar to The Meat House.

Another option in that same block/area is Reids Fine Foods, the mecca of local deliciousness, might have merguez. If not, I'm certain Bucky can order it for you. www.reids.com

The Meat House just past Ballantyne has lamb sausage that appears to be Merguez, might be worth asking.
