Cocktails/Drinks after dinner at Tocqueville
Meeting two friends after dinner with my sister. Would be good to stay in the neighborhood. Would like innovative drinks in a not-too-loud environment nearby 15th and 5th, but would settle for a decent scotch list and an absence of people who remind me of the Kardashians. Thanks a lot.

Would the patrons at Flat Iron Lounge remind one of the Kardashians? I've only been in there on the early side of evenings and it was pretty quiet and the drinks were creative and well executed.

Dependent upon what time you end up there and what day of the week it is, you'll have a wait at Raines Law Room. They have a limited capacity and don't allow standing. Raines takes some reservations but only Sunday through Tuesday.

Thanks for the heads up. It will be tomorrow (saturday) after a 7:00 dinner, but waiting isn't the end of the world, I guess.

Rye House (down the street from RLR) makes very good drinks, but it's often loud and crowded. However, it might be an OK place to wait if Raines is full when you turn up.

A lot of the good bartenders that used to work at Rye House have left, so I would lower my expectations. I've been hearing downhill reports.
