Gumbo Cart in San Francisco?
All,
I have become aware of a young fellow in SF hawking chicken and andouille sausage gumbo for $5 a bowl in a "Gumbo Cart." He's done a lot of work to get his name out via Twitter, but I don't see any Chowhound reviews.
Has anyone tried his offerings? I would love to get your take on it.
I've got the idea to sell my gumbo - because, yes, my gumbo rocks! - via street cart in Los Angeles, but would have a hard time getting a bowl down to a reasonable $5 price point. I make what I call the "$200 gumbo" once a year around Superbowl time, and at that price would have to gouge patrons to make any money.
Any reviews of his gumbo would be appreciated.
Thanks.
