Cake Batter Vodka
As a Christmas gift I received a bottle of 3 Olives Cake vodka. While it does taste surprisingly like cake batter (very sweet), I have no idea what to do with the stuff. Any ideas?
If you like sweet, fruity drinks that don't taste like alcohol, I'd try mixing it tropical fruit juice (orange, pineapple, cream of coconut, mango, etc). some lime to cut the sugar and a small amount of a strong-tasting rum for depth
If you don't, then I'd give it to the next wino you see.
I'm thinking paring it with creme de cacao (chocolate notes). These are gin drinks, but sub in 3OCV in its place?
1 1/2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Creme de Cacao
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
1 - 1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz Lillet Blanc (or Cocchi Americano)
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
I've never tried it, but I'd think that it would go well with creamy drinks; riffs on a white russian or brandy alexander, for instance. Or some mudslide-like concoction.
Or you could incorporate it into a boozy cake batter-flavored frosting for a cake--totally meta!

you could infuse it with fruit to make it more of a liqueur
make this sorbet:
3 cups fresh pink grapefruit juice
3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1 1/2 cups white sugar, or to taste
1/2 cup vodka (optional)
blend all ingredients, freeze
