Tried to get Res at sidecar this weekend but it was impossible. I was told bruda would be more plausible because its just been open for a few months. Has anyone been there?

We stopped in for a quick dinner last week. Shared the meatballs with carrot puree and the mushroom bisque and then the gnocchi. There were some really great parts (carrot puree was so light and smooth, it was ethereal). The major issues had to do with seasoning. Meatballs had us looking for the salt shaker...until the gnocchi arrived...we found the missing salt.

The location has not been kind to the last 4 occupants and with Carnita taking all the neighbourhood business lately (it was packed with an hour wait while Grace was a ghost-town and the one on the other side of Grace, forget the name, was looking 20% full), I can't imagine that Bruda will fare that much better.

Hello - I discovered BruDa this week (end July-August) while walking along College. Dropped in for lunch and went back for dinner. I was blown away by the gnocchi at lunchi, and my husband loved the scallops and the pork tenderloin.

I have been living in Massachusetts USA and Oxford-London UK for the last 9 months, and have been discovering the new Toronto restaurants (like Ace on Roncie) in the last few weeks.

I expect that we will be heading back to BruDa regularly. (the homemade ice creams and sherbets are amazing - I am not in the habitat of photographing food, but I just had to take a photo of the Jamaican pumpkin ice-cream with pistachio brittle).
