Can anyone recommend a professional kitchen knife sharpening service in the Charleston, SC area? Also, if anyone can give me some ideas of what is a reasonable price to pay for this service, that would be great info, too.

Thank you.

I know that I am not answering your question, but, take a look at the Edgemaker sharpening system. I find it almost fool proof and it allows me to keep my knifes sharp without sending them out for a week at a time. My results with this has been just as good and in some cases better then when I sent them out.

Hmm, I have always been leery of knife shapening "gadgets" but this does look promising from the reviews I am seeing. And at that price how can I not try this out? Thank you very much for the recommendation.

But, I would still like to hear from others if they know of a good sharpening service in the Charleston area.

I just go to Ace Hardware. I can't remember how much it cost.
